Terms and Conditions of Vintage Home Living

Privacy

Vintage Home Living respects your privacy and will only routinely collect personal information when you comment on a blog post or request information leading to a sale. values and respects it’s customers privacy.

On occasion we may email those who choose to subscribe to our newsletters or competitions but will never send unsolicited email.

We store all data in line with the Data Protection Act 1998 and never pass on personal details to any third parties.

Payment

As Vintage Home Living specialises in bespoke or vintage items, we recommend that you view items before purchase to satisfy yourself that they are right for you. We will supply photographs from many angles on the website and will always include dimensions where there may be issues transporting or delivering large items.

Payment is always in GB Pounds, payable in cash or optionally via banker’s draft for items over £100.

Certain items may be offered with payment via PayPal. This will be clearly indicated on the item page.

If you email or telephone us in advance, we can discuss the best method of payment for you.

Delivery

As stated above, we prefer that customers inspect goods before purchase. For this reason, it would not normally be necessary to arrange delivery, unless clearly stated on the item page. We can offer free local delivery to the TR17, TR18, TR19, TR20 and TR26 postcode areas on bulky items of furniture.

If you are unable to transport large items outside these areas, we can recommend a local courier firm who will quote directly, or you can arrange your own delivery.

For small items where online purchase has been indicated as a possibility, the cost will be stated for each item. We do this to keep such costs to you, the customer, as low as possible.

We will only hold items for three to five days after you contact us to reserve them. We will indicate the reservation on the item page.

Returns Policy

As we recommend that you inspect goods before you purchase them, it would not normally be necessary for you to return items however, if there is a need to return an item, we will offer a full refund on the following conditions:

  • You inform us of your reason for requesting a refund within two working days of the purchase
  • You return the items within seven days of informing us of your request for refund
  • The purchase paperwork is enclosed
  • The items are returned in an identical condition to when they were sold
  • You bear all costs for returning the goods

If the above conditions are met, a refund of the purchase price will be made.

If it is one of the items that we agreed to deliver to you, we require that the damaged goods are returned to us in order for a refund to be made. If a replacement is not available, we will give a full refund, less any delivery costs.

Pricing of Items

We do not charge VAT on our items as we are not VAT registered. All costs are indicated on the item pages and will be discussed with customers in advance.
Vintage Home Living reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time. Pages will always be updated to show when a price has changed and this will never happen whilst an item has been reserved.
